About the Owner
Alexis has an extensive background in the service industry; having worked in all sorts of different restaurants, from local sports bars, to fine dining establishments. She started off as a hostess at 16, and worked her way up to bartending in college at a fun and quirky restaurant in Blacksburg, VA. From chatting it up with regulars at the bar, to meeting all sorts of different people from all over the world, she realized she had a big passion for serving others.
After graduating Virginia Tech in 2020, she decided to move back to her roots in Virginia Beach, VA, where she continued working in hospitality. However, she knew she wanted to dream big and have something of her own. That is when she discovered a vintage 1966 Shasta Camper that was built out to be a mobile bar. Alexis had a feeling that this could be the thing she had been looking for and decided to take the leap and create The Mobile Mixologist. Having a major appreciation for local businesses and vintage things, she loves being able to add a different twist on bartending.
